Invisa Ereso, Es Caná: An Accessible Family Holiday Review
Where we stayed
We stayed at Invisa Ereso in Es Caná, booked through TUI, who were great throughout. On arrival we were offered a refreshing drink, a nice touch straight away.
Is Invisa Ereso Accessible?
Our original room only had a bath, and as I'm disabled I needed a walk in shower. When we explained this at reception, they knocked themselves out trying to find a suitable alternative and eventually gave us a free upgrade to a top floor room with a shower. All the staff were incredibly friendly, and the whole place had a great vibe.
What is Es Caná like?
Es Caná itself is a great place. The hotel is perfectly located to reach the beach, restaurants and bars, all of which were very welcoming, and having a supermarket so close was really convenient. As someone with a disability, needing to reach things easily mattered a lot, and I was able to do that here without any issues. We first came to Es Caná nearly 50 years ago. It's changed a lot since, but it still retains the same atmosphere. We'd definitely go back.
What we did with the kids
Most days were spent around the pool, which all the kids loved. The hotel's signature song, La Bomba, played intermittently throughout the day, and it was brilliant seeing everyone joining in the dance each time.
Things to Do in Es Caná with SEN Kids
The kids, all SEN, loved parasailing in Santa Eulalia, the mocktails, and the boat trips, in fact they loved the boats most of all, including the glass bottom boat, a sunset cruise, and the ferry to nearby towns. The foam parties were also a big hit.
Eating out with autistic children
We ate out a lot, and this is really the only criticism we have. There was no outside terrace or anywhere to take the kids, and the ones with autism found the restaurant a bit overwhelming and refused to use it. That said, there are plenty of places to eat nearby, and snacks at the hotel, while limited, were good. A special mention for the Nags Head, which had a pool and outside seating for the kids, and great food.
What it cost
Around £1,800 to £2,000 per person for two weeks, booked through TUI.
The verdict
Brilliant. We went in August (2024 or 2025) and would go back without hesitation.
