Where we stayed: We stayed at the Hotel Ereso in Es Cana for a week as a family with an age range of 10 up to 82! It’s a great family hotel with 3 pools and an entertainment team that are running different activities most of the day. The hotel is spotless with good food options in the main restaurant and pool bar during the afternoon. This is our fourth time visiting and we booked a sea view room. I would advise paying the extra for a sea or pool view as some of the rooms balconies face each other over the restaurant and there is no view.
What was the area like: We have been coming to Es Cana since the 90s and it never disappoints. Lots of bars and restaurants, a small funfair and the beach with water sports such as pedalos to hire. All of these are within a few minutes walk of the hotel. The Hippie Market is also open on a Wednesday and is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel.
What we did: You can get a bus just down the road from the hotel and can get anywhere cheaply. We got the bus into Ibiza town for an evening which is always a lovely place to go and have a look around.
We went jet skiing in Santa Eulalia which was great fun, just 10 minutes and €10 in a cab to get to. There is also a great ice cream place Galeteria Miretti which has every flavour you can think of!
Where we ate and drank: We mainly ate in the hotel but did have breakfast in the Nags Head which does amazing food.
During the evenings we watched a Robbie Williams tribute at Popeyes Bar who was fantastic. Charlie’s Bar is highly recommended for a good atmosphere and live acts every night.
There is also a Chinese restaurant which does really good food.
What it cost: For 3 of us all inclusive for the week was approx £2700. I do think it’s well worth the money.
The verdict: A really great holiday for the whole family, we’re already looking at booking again for next year. The area and hotel are highly recommended for families of all ages.
